Celebrate American Craft Week

Join the national celebration of American Craft!

American Craft Week is a project of Craft Retailers and Artists for Tomorrow (CRAFT) in partnership with Craft in America.

To celebrate, I will be demonstrating Black ash woodsplint basketmaking at Fall Festival 2010 at The Lands at Hillside Farms on Saturday October 2 and Sunday, October 3.

The Lands at Hillside Farms’ Fall Festival is an annual “Noon to Moon” event, offering family-friendly activities, tractor hay rides, pony rides, children’s games, live music, local food, farm-to-table live cooking demonstrations, barn tours and artisan demonstrations including basket weavers, stone carvers, black smiths, wood carvers and camp fire storytelling. I hope to see you there.

In celebrating America Craft Week countless artists and galleries around the United States have united in recognition of the countless ways handmade objects enrich our daily lives, contribute to our economy and make our world a better place to live. What do you plan to do to celebrate American Craft Week?
