Shannon Weber at Guardino Gallery

Guardino Gallery, 2939 NE Alberta St., Portland, Oregon will feature the basketry and woven forms of Shannon Weber in their MAIN GALLERY for their September exhibit (August 26-September 28). Gallery Hours: Tues. 11 to 5 PM, Wed. through Sat. 11 to 6 PM, Sun 11 to 4 PM. The Artist Opening will take place August 26, 2010 ~ 5-8 PM.

The Guardino Gallery is located on the corner of 30th and NE Alberta and the Guardino Gallery and Gift shop is right next to it. Both are open Tuesday through Sunday. Some of you may remember visiting Guardino Gallery during the gallery tour held in conjunction with the National Basketry Organization's 2009 Biennial Convention “Traditions and Innovations V” in Portland.

Every "Last Thursday" of the month throughout the year Alberta Street hosts an Art Walk. The Guardino Gallery's reception for their new shows are scheduled monthly. The evening starts at 6:00 PM and officially goes to 9:00 PM. Guests are invited to meet the artists and share in the refreshments. The Gallery changes shows every month and has done so since Sal and Donna Guardino purchased their buildings in 1997.

Shannon's work which she calls “new” aboriginal forms for the current millennium, was featured in the Spring 2010 Issue of the NBO Quarterly Review.
