Father and Son: 107 Years of Bamboo Art, Monden Kogyoku & Yuichi is hosted July 24 to July 31, 2010 at TAI Gallery, Santa Fe. This show has inspired 94-year old Monden Kogyoku to create a stunning new body of artwork. His son, 68-year old Monden Yuichi, not to be outdone by his father, also created a wonderful series of pieces.
TAI Gallery/Textile Arts, located in Santa Fe New Mexico, is one of the world's finest galleries featuring the art of traditional textiles and Japanese bamboo art. Since 1978, owners Mary Hunt Kahlenberg and Robert T. Coffland have hosted this selective gallery, combining her renowned knowledge of the field with his contemporary art sensibility to offer visually dazzling, museum quality textiles and bamboo art from around the world.
